The Book Club
What grows from settling in with a good book?
I sometimes feel like I was raised by books. From reading Golda Meir’s autobiography as an impressionable 15-year-old, to Antjie Krog’s poetry and discovering the wealth of Canadian authors I didn’t know about when moving to Canada, books opened my mind and broadened my horizons. When things happen in my life, I reach for a book that explores the idea - help has so often been the cracking of one cover away.
What makes me happier than reading? Talking about what I learn from books with friends.
So, welcome to The Book Club! It’s good to see you here.
What happens at book club…
The book club process is pretty simple:
Pick up a copy of the book - actual paper, e-book, audiobook… whatever format works for you.
Read the book - or if it’s unreadable, try Dan Pink’s formula - read 100 pages minus your age - if it’s still unreadable, put the book down.
Join the book club on Zoom. We’ll talk about what we learned from the book or from giving ourselves permission to stop reading.
At the end of the session, we’ll each commit to an action we can implement in our lives based on the learning from the experience.
Ready to join?
As a member, you'll have access to all our gatherings, recordings from past sessions, and a voice in selecting books we explore together. It's a space to connect with curious people over books that might just change your life.
Annual membership automatically renews at $35 per year. Cancel anytime - you'll have access through the end of your billing period
Come see if The Book Club is for you. Join us for one gathering and decide from there.

-
It’s definitely good to read the book before we meet AND sometimes you just what to hear what others thought, or you might want to share what made you not finish the book. You’re welcome to come regardless.
-
Absolutely! You are welcome to ask friends to come. Please forward the book club registration link.
-
The Book Club is a positive space where we discuss what we learn from the books we read. When attending, I ask that you bring your best thinking, a curious mindset, and the willingness to engage respectfully with people who agree or disagree with your perspective.
-
We meet four times a year - roughly once per season.
If we come across a great read we want to discuss in addition to our chosen books, we can add extra sessions.
